Nancy Robbin papers, 1958-1973.

The collection consists of letters, writings, and personal papers. Correspondence consists of letters to Robbin from composer George Antheil and British publisher Faber and Faber. The two letters from Faber and Faber, including one from the secretary to T. S. Eliot, concern her first novel "The Caravan" (renamed "The Journey West"). Letters from Antheil, dating from early to late 1958 and undated, follow a brief affair, and mention work on a score for a television program and a musical entitled "The Happy Journey," life in New York, friends, family, writers, and literature. Writings consists of a corrected typescript draft of "The Journey West" and a printed version of the short story "The Third Floor Room." Other Papers include clippings relating to George Antheil and postcards of the Great Northern Hotel in New York.
